The Congressional oversight panel has published a set of roughly 70 photographs secured from the holdings of late adjudicated individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third such disclosure from a cache of in excess of 95,000 images the body has secured from Epstein's holdings. It includes photographs of excerpts from the book Lolita written across a female's body, and censored pictures of female international passports.

This action comes just hours before the December 19th cut-off for the Justice Department to release each files connected to its probe into Epstein.

"These latest photos raise more inquiries about exactly what the Justice Department has in its holdings," said the ranking member of the panel, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photographs Released

A number of the images released on recently feature Epstein conversing with professor and activist Noam Chomsky on a private plane; Bill Gates standing alongside a woman whose features is redacted; Steve Bannon sitting at a desk across from Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the most recent high-net-worth, powerful men to be pictured in Epstein's estate photos released by the committee - formerly released photos also include US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, previous US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Appearing in the photographs is does not constitute evidence of any wrongdoing, and a number of the photographed individuals have stated they were in no way involved in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a announcement accompanying the photo publication, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein property holders did not provide background information or dates for the images.

"Photographs were chosen to furnish the American people with transparency into a typical cross-section of the photographs acquired from the estate, and to give understanding into Epstein's network and his extremely alarming behavior," the statement states.

The publication also includes several photos of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita written in dark ink across different parts of a woman's body, such as her chest, foot, hip, and rear. Lolita tells the story of a minor who was groomed by a middle-aged literature professor.

A particular quote from the novel inscribed across a woman's upper body says, "Lolita: the point of the tongue traveling of three steps down the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a collection of photos of women's passports and ID papers from nations around the world, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the information on the IDs, such as identities and dates of birth, is redacted but the House Oversight Committee said in a press release that the passports pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were involved with".

A further photo depicts Epstein seated at a workstation intimately flanked by three female figures whose features have been obscured - one individual has her palm on Epstein's chest under his clothing, and another is bending to view a close-by device. Epstein can be seen to be helping the final person fasten a bracelet.

A further photograph made public is a screenshot of digital messages from an unnamed individual who says they have been provided "a number of girls" and are demanding "$$1,000 per girl".

Image Publication Occurs Before DOJ Cut-off

The body has thousands of photographs in its holdings from the Epstein holdings, which are "both disturbing and mundane," its announcement on Thursday clarified.

The House Oversight Committee first legally compelled the estate of Epstein, who passed away in a New York jail in 2019 while facing trial on allegations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The images and files the Epstein estate's representatives submitted to the panel are different than what is commonly called "Epstein-related records". Those files are documents under the Department of Justice's custody connected to its separate inquiry into Epstein.

Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which President Trump enacted last month, the DOJ has until 19 December to publish its documents. The scope of the contents found in the DOJ's documents is unclear, and it's likely that a large amount of the information will be extensively redacted, akin to Congressional materials
