Two Victims Named in Brown University Shooting as Law Enforcement Press On With Search for Killer.

The pair of scholars who died in the recent violent attack in Providence were being remembered Monday – as a manhunt for their assailant persisted following the discharge by local law enforcement of the single suspect questioned in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama, was described as “an incredible, grounded, faithful, bright light”, as stated by the Birmingham's Cathedral Church of the Advent, which offered condolences for her at a ceremony on Sunday.

The Second Victim

The second fatality was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, an Uzbek national in his first year of studies at the prestigious university, according to relatives.

His name was confirmed by Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. He had big dreams of entering the field of neurosurgery and aiding others,” Samira Umurzokova, his sister said in a online post.

Details of the Attack

An additional nine individuals were hurt in the weekend shooting in the engineering department of Brown’s grounds in Providence, during the university's examination week.
